House Hunting Trips
A successful house hunting trip is a crucial part of a move. It’s purpose is to secure accommodations at your new place of duty so you can make a door-to-door move. Here is a list of things to do and be prepared for:
- Contact me and let me know your exact needs. We can communicate by email, Zoom, phone or text. I will get you set up with listings (along with new listings that come on the market) that will be automatically sent to you. Follow up communication can further fine tune your needs and requirements.
- Once you find out your dates for your house hunting trip, make arrangements with hotels/motels in the area that is convenient and will meet your needs.
- Being in contact with a local lender or broker prior to your arrival may expedite the purchase process, particularly when we are trying to remove any financing conditions from your offer of Purchase and Sale. If you need a referral, please ask me for one!
- I will make appointments for the homes that interest you and coordinate a home showing schedule.
- I can’t stress this one enough! Wear easy slip on, slip off shoes for the scheduled showings!
- On arrival in Petawawa you will be given all the Listings that match your criteria and a list of home inspectors and lawyers to assist in your purchase
- Once you make an offer, I will attend your home inspection with you and schedule another walk through prior to closing date.
